Need 3 Point Implement help
I bought a CC1450 this January that came with a 3 point lift and some implements. I need some help with what I need to attach them to the tractor.
It came with a #2 tiller complete with the gearbox and bracket. The bracket is bolted on the back of the trans axle and the tiller attaches to it no problem. The deal also came with a Brinly BB-360 scraper box. I tried to put it on the tiller bracket and it didn't fit. What bracket do I need to mount the scraper? Is there a bracket that will allow attachment of both the tiller and scraper? TIA, Bob Elliott |

Can't say for sure on your tractor but I think you need the hitch bracket. This is a pic from the 1A tiller manual.

Is the scraper sleeve hitch mounted?
If so, you need the lower mounting brackets plus the sleeve hitch ass'y itself The tiller gear box and mount will have to[ come off. Here's what you need This is a set I made Or, longer sleeve hitch units are available to allow the tiller mount to remain and use it's lower case mounts however you may need a longer lift pin for that application |

All options that was given above are correct you need a sleeve hitch. The long 1 will let you keep the gear box on the diff. Also lower hitch plate if you dont have 1. I would leave the gear box on but how often do you use a tiller?

The problem with taking the gearbox off and on is you most likely have to put a new rear end gasket on each time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
