Default Hauled in a 169

Picked up this 169 a few weeks ago. Traded a 1440 for it. Going to start tearing into it when the weather breaks. The engine smokes and the paint isn't very good in person. Already ordered new decals and a new wiring harness for it. Can't wait to get started on it.

Seemsa rash of these lately...i know where kne more is, in fact it was right next to minewhen i bought it...paid 250 for the 169 and a 72, plus 2 mower decks a radiator with elec fan out of a goldwing and a 10 lug truck axle for my buddies pull truck...then pulled diff cover off and found a detroit locker in it too!!!

Yea it has the hydro lift. I have the hour meter but it's pretty fogged up. I was debating on letting this one go, had someone offer $800 the way it sits but I can't bring myself to let it go. I've never seen another 169 around me.

There's actually a guy on eBay that sells seats for $62 plus 22 to ship. I've bought a couple from him. They are very nice for he price and bolt right up.

Are they the new style high back ones?? Im just not a big fan of those for some reason..i used to get the vinyl bonded to foam from a military surplus place for 10 bucks!! Then just get some trim lock, cut off excess and done, but they are now out...this messicks seat is the original 6 cushion style, made very well and only has the 8"x11" bolt pattern...sucks its abucktwentyfive though...nice cub

I've used that guy a couple times, pretty nice seat and ships very fast. Nice 169, sounds like a good trade to me!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
