Saw this in the parking lot of a restaurant located on the coastline of Lake Erie yesterday. It's a 2012 Mustang Boss 302. The owner was nice enough to show it to me and start it up. Awesome! They've only produced 3500 so far and each dealership supposedly gets just one car. Hopefully, that will change because I want one....in black. It'll be a great retirement gift to myself, don't you think??

It's a 6 speed tranny. He said the rev limiter keeps it from going faster than 155, but in 3rd gear he was cranking out at 105 mph on a road that had just been paved. That....gives me a chub.

As nice as it is, I think the stripe off the 70 model looked better. Is the engine completely different, or a version of what the others have? I had a 70 Bose 302 from 78 through 82, engine was changed to a windsor before I got it, so I pulled it in trade school and built a 390 to "slip" in. Not sure how it handled with a Boss 302, but that big FE sure did plant the front end in the turns and had plenty of power to push the rear end out through the turns. Lived 6 miles out of a little town and the road had 11 turns, needless to say, I could make some good time going home late at night!!! The old ones weren't as smooth, or comfortable, or nice, but something about raw power, spinning tires and uncapped headers just felt right!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
