DIY pull behind sickle
Hi,
I had a need for sickle. At first I tried to find Haban 402E but these seem to be hard to find(rare). So I decided to build my own. This is modified from big tractor 3pt sickle. I made it pull behind version with its own engine(5.5 hp gas). Mainly because I want it to be easy & fast to attach and start working. Here are few pics:   Job done:  Job done2:  Tero

Now that is great use of the old noodle... How about some up close shots and a bit about how you made it? The big tractor sickles are pretty easy to find.

Excellent job Tero!! Looks like it works very well!
 How do you raise and lower the sickle bar? I may have to build something like that someday...it seems the proper Habans are becoming more difficult to find. Great pics! Jeff (teet)
