Please allow OBO in the for sale section, it doesn't hurt anything, the worst a person can say is no. I prefer to not use the for sale section on this site, because I hate firm prices.

The reason we don't do OBO (Or Best Offer) is because there was a bad experience and a lot of hard feelings over this a while back. The incident involved a seller trying to get the highest price for that item being sold. If people want to to do the Auction thing, then there are plenty of sites out on the Web that can accommodate them. We are not setup to do auctions.

That's the seller's problem, not yours. Punishing everybody because of one idiot doesn't make very much sense. People need to be responsible for their own behavior.
Whenever I get around to selling all my excess stuff, I guess I won't be able to do it here, since I just want it gone... |

I see both sides of the issue for sure.
Personally, I walk away from a sale that takes your bid awaiting someone elses higher offer. That is not a sale, that is an auction and it has a place, but not here. I do believe anybody has the option of offering the seller less than the stated price, that is a personal matter between them. In my lifetime it has been an unspoken understanding, and I'm sure it still happens here. just my .$02 |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
