Default Cat 0 3pt tiller info

Duke and several other members ask me to post info on the tiller my dad uses on his diesel. It is an aftermarket brand.
The brand is BEFCO G42 2000 rpm cat 0 3pt tiller. Unfortunately I don't have much other info trying to find an owners now. It appears that it can be used as cat 0 or cat 1 by flipping the arms over. It works very well and tills nicely.BEFCO is still in business and I visited their website but couldnt find the G42. Here are the pictures.

Thanks for the info and pics!!!! Nice tiller!!!

Looking at the T30 page, they do show a 2,000 rpm opton at the bottom of the text. But they all look to be cat.2 ... Looks like a phone call will be in order!

Last night, I spoke with the original owner my father purchased the 1772 from, (he worked for a Cub dealer at the time). He did have a tiller with it when he had the tractor, but sold it years ago.

He still repairs Cubs and is currently looking for a belt driven tiller. He knows of some "stuff" aound and is also going to do some checking to see if he can find one for us.

I did find a tiller that has been setting in a barn for over 10 years. This guy bought the Cub and the tiller came with the deal. He is not sure of the drive... (Probably a belt?). I hope to go look at it this weekend.

Thanks again for the info!

I think Befco built the Cat 0 tillers for IH and CCC back in the day. but I could be wrong.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
