Default Gtx 2100

Hello all, Newb here.
Looking at Cubs new & used. Just missed a 3540 w/425 hrs for $1000. Looked at a GT 2544 at Cub dealer w/60 hrs last week. $1899 with 30 day warranty. Anybody seeing this model cheaper? $1500 maybe? Would really like the new GTX 2100. Anybody have one? Issues? What's a decent price for it? Would prefer a 48" fab deck. Thanks!

What size yard do you have? What do you plan on using the machine for? Knowing these things would help determine if a machine is good for you or not. Please elaborate a little.

I have 5 ac & cut about 1.5. Already have a Kioti Ck20 Hydro with fel & Woods bushhog. Just want something that will last that the wife can also use if the day comes that she has to. Looked at the 1000 series Cubs but want something with a heavier duty rear for hauling & hills. I have a 15 yr old Snapper rear eng rider with 14 hp Briggs that has been a real workhorse. Can pull a big yard cart completely loaded with dirt, stone, whatever & it keeps on coming back for more. Do have some pretty good inclines on my property. Really hope to find somebody that has already used these models & can give me the inside scoop. Wouldn't mind having an old pulling tractor in nice shape but again, need to consider the wifey. Anybody? Don't be shy. PS Input on the pricing questions in the above post would be appreciated.

Im curious about the new 2000 series tractors myself. I mow about 2ac right now with an old 805 but am thinking ahead to what I want to buy when it craps out for good. Of coarse I have my old 124 but I prefer to have something newer and more reliable and user friendly for the wife to use around the yard and such.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
