Default Hello from Indian Trail NC

Hello,
Just got my first Cub 122 and now I am hooked. This is my first garden tractor so I will be learning as I go. My plans for it are to get it to the point I can use it for cutting grass and gardening its almost there now, and turn it into a puller for my son if he shows interest when hes older as he just turned 1. Hope to pick some brains for info so I dont make those first time mistakes, but I know I will.

Have a great day
Bruce

I have 2 102s one with creeper and one without but a creeper on the bench ready to install. Here in PA we use our tractors year round. A creeper is not needed for mowing but for tilling or snow blowing is is a real necessity.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
