Cool The deer hunter...

Picked this green thing up today at the scrap yard. A John Queer 212

It didn't take much to get it to run but will not charge, needs a stator.Runs great but their version of iso mounts were shot and one was missing. It has hydro lift on it.
Too bad it wont look like this after Saturday.

I had my helper 107 drag its green butt to its final demise...

Those 200 series (210-216) Deeres are good tractors, I still have one as a backup for my cub.
Their rubber mounting system for the engine is very good, putting the mounts @ the crankshaft centerline.
it makes for less vibration.
I wished cub would of done that.

I firmly believe these john deeres were far superior to cub.cadets quiet line series. For the iso mounts, ease of operation and looks. Quiet lines are UGLY compared to these

Well it looks like the JD system has its flaws.ISO's didn't seem to work here...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
