Cleaning up a 50A mower
I got an older 48 inch deck in good shape and a 50A deck that needed some TLC with the 1650 I bought a couple weeks ago. I spent a couple hours wire brushing and cleaning up the 50A (did the underside of the deck, too) and then hit it with a coat of Rustoleum Rust Reformer. Once this is dry, I'll prime and paint. The bearings all seem smooth, so I think they are still OK. They all got about 20 pumps of grease. Removed the blades (looked like they were barely used--surface rust, but never been re-sharpened.) I think I'm going to paint the belt cover cub yellow, though I think it was originally white.

I just went through this on my 44" C deck. Correct on the color, "white"

Yup, the cover should be IH Cub Cadet "Cream."
