Never forget the last motor i had i didnt brace it an the threads shook into the block then its broke off flush with the block

Kinda Maw & Paw Clampet, but...

I went to Lowe's and bought a 15-inch section of metal sink drain. It was very close to the size of the pipe that screws into the block and it's nice and shiny! Be sure to get the one that has the flange (nut slides onto the pipe and then screws onto the pipe that you are attaching it to) so that you don't have to deal with the threads on the pipe.

Now, it's not as thick as some of the pipes available, but it's not nearly as heavy either. It gives our puller a nice pop, without sounding hollow, like the pipe is too large. Here's a couple of pictures.
