Default Getting a Original roller in tbe bed of a truck

I have an Original i need to drive several hours go pick up. it does not run at the moment and i need to get it in the back of my truck, 96 GMC 1500 4X4. I currently do not have any ramps, but am not opposed to geting some. I sold my 4 wheeler ones several years ago when i sold the quad. so what would be the best way to get it into the bed. im thinking a set of aluminum ramps and a come a long, which i do not have either. Most of those ramps are only 6 foot long though and make quite the steep angle. i have seen just the ramp ends that go on boards that i can have longer, and less steep. im going to have more in gas and getting it in the truck thatn teh $50 for the O. looking forward to the sugestions.

Look on clist for ramps. Or harbor freight. I had the cheap steel ones and they work with my 104 just fine. Get 2 come a longs. You'll get about half way up the ramps with one then hook on the second and crank it up the rest of the way.

on harbor freight there come alongs are only 10 ft of cable. i have my warn 4 wheeler winch somewhere but God only knows where. i would spend way too much time looking for it, and haveing to wire it up. i was lookin at the one winch on there like boat winch that had a flat strap and a ratchet handle. looks like i might be able to mount that up front and use my dewalt impact wrench to drive it. they have the harbor freight tri fold aluminum ramps for $99. i like teh tri folds better than the dual ones for stability. ive seen ramps slide out on people putting there quads on.

when i picked up my 1650 i backed it down into a ditch and the seller had some boards we used to get it in. real easy there. then i got it home, and was stuck with a cub in teh back of my truck. i got my neighbors flip down ramp off his trailer and got it down. it was quite sketchy. i think some ramps are in my future

You might contact the seller to see if they have ramps. That will get it loaded. Barring that check to see if there is a steep bank you can get the tractor on top of and you can back into like a barn bridge.

Before I got my ramps I just backed my truck in a ditch and loaded them that way. lol

Just push it up. 2 people are best but if you by yourself then a come along will work. As long as the tractor rolls.

I put a 123 roller in the bed of my truck by myself, front end first since it was the lightest and then picked up the rear and rolled it into the bed on the front tires. It's a lot easier if you have one or two people helping you.

I made my ramps by bolting 1/4 plate bent in the middle to 2x8's glue a furring strip on the outside to keep it on

When I got my O the seller had some ramps and we just pushed it up, the originals are pretty light, especally a roller. I got mine in a short bed with a tool box
