I have a chance to pick up a 2072 super. The question is , it has 1800 hrs , a snow blower and a 60" haban deck. I was wondering what's the value? It needs paint and decals. I was also wondering which bolts in the rear end I'm supposed to check. Thanks

![]() The bolts are the top three on each side of the axle where they bolt to the rear housing. The front casting ears can be broken off so pull the tunnel cover off so you can look and feel around. Take a 9/16 wrench with you.

Here are a couple pics of what to look for on the rear-end. One shows the bolt locations and one shows a broken front mount. You have 2 bolts on each side that go into the axle tubes and you have 2 bolts on each side that a bracket is bolted to that attaches to the frame.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
