Well, I ended up with a 1782 recently. I need to fix some wiring issues on it. Is there any other problems I should look out for on a cyclops? The plastics seem to be good. I'm looking forward to playing with this. Also, will my mower deck off my '89 1050 fit? It's a 38" I think. I wasn't sure if I used all the mule parts, etc if it would fit. A lot of trees to weave around, and don't think the 60" will do very well.

Welcome to OCC!
That deck won't work on the super. Besides, I think you'll find that 60" will get around stuff a lot better than the 38" would. |

I think a 48" is the smallest deck that fits the super tractors from what my owners manuals tell me.

You will have to know your Serial Number, so here is the Chart:
Ok.....maybe is this better... ![]() The asterisk (*) indicates serial range 821,101 & higher.

That's a cool diagram. The serial is 808 something, so its an early one. Once I figure out the wiring issues, I guess I'll hook up the deck and see how it mows.
The biggest deal is my ditch in the front yard. Right now I have a little green mower, and I don't really care about it, so I just throw it into the ditch and hit it. I don't really want to trash this tractor running it thru there. I'll try to get some pics up of it soon. Right now its all apart!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
