A 1250 with dual hydraulics is available near me. I'm thinking of buying it (if I can get a good deal) and swapping the dual circuit hydraulics into my 149. Is this a "bolt in" swap or is there more to it than meets the eye? I'd really like to have the second circuit, and I much prefer the look of the 149 over the 1250 and this one appears to be missing some parts too. I'd either part out the 1250 or put the single circuit setup in it and sell it off complete. I already have 2 149s and I don't want a third tractor, in fact I don't even really want 2, but that's another story.

I don't believe that the 1x8/9 Series Cubs ever came with a Dual Spool Hydraulic Valve. Thus, the handle, linkages, and piping would all have to be custom fabricated.

What about the handles, linkage, and piping from the 1250? The pictures I have seen of those parts lead me to believe the parts would work in a 1X9. I think I have seen a 149 with dual circuit hydro on the site. I think it is a red one, I may have even seen it at the Dannville plow day this spring.

I would be highly interested in seeing a 129, 149 or 169 with dual hydraulics. Never seen nor heard of one.

It would probably be better to keep the 1250, find the missing parts, and sell one of your 149's

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
