Default CC list?

Been trying to find a list, hopefully with "details", showing Cubs in year order with the model number. I found one list that covers IH Cubs and stops at 1979. I want to shop around for a good used Cub, but have no clue as to what IH or MTD has turned out. I've heard about Supers, but i think that covers several model numbers. Help, please.

It really depends on what you mean by "details" basic stuff you can find a complete (I think) list on tractordata.com and from that list you can pull up more descriptive information on each model (although not as exhaustive as I would like)

Like DX3 said though, the most complete info will be found in a book like he is recommending

You can go to tractordata.com enter the model your interested in it has some decent info. You can also go to cub cadet download the owners/service manual this will give you information on a series of models that contain about every dab of info if your trying to narrow down exactly what you want/need. A good list of models with lots of pictures http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Cub_cadet_History.htm also you can google cub cadet info, data, models lots of variant words

Out of the list that darkminion supplied:
982, 984, 1912, 1914, 1872, 2072, 1772, 2082, 2182, 1782, 1882

I think that is all of them. Someone may correct me.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
