Default Hello from Brazil

Brazil, Indiana that is. This is my 1967 model 71 and a formerly red AgriFab lawn cart. Had the tractor around 15 years and am slowly painting and refurbishing parts as needed, and as $$$ allows. I've added headlights and a 3 point hitch with a Brinly spring assist. Hope to get my snow blade back together and on for winter this year.

It used to be my daily driver with a 38" mower deck until got a LT1022 about 9 years ago. My wife won't drive the 1022 but loves the old gear drive 71.

Not much work for it in our small yard but it hauls walnuts in the fall and branches in the spring. I get the most enjoyment pulling the grand kids around in the trailer while they yell and giggle.

I want to thank everyone on the forum for the wealth of information here. I've not had a question that I haven't been able to find some ideas for by searching this site. The group seems very friendly and most of all civil, and I really appreciate that.

Thanks again,
Andy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
