Default The Joys of Winter

For those of you who still live in the north, you truly appreciate the beauty & joy of each of our changing seasons.
However, remember that summer is over, fall will soon end, & winter is coming.
To those who have escaped the northern winters & yearn to go back home, this is a reminder how it was.
And to those who have never lived up north, this is an indication of what you have missed.

Yep one of the reasons I moved to VA from CT

I always look forward to winter,I like the snow and the ice and the power outages.
It's that man against nature thing that nature always wins.

Driving home after dodging cars and trucks and you pull up to your driveway and the snow plow truck left something for you.

Anyway you are that much closer to spring.

Enjoy it while it last.

Talking Winter!!

I've been south since 1983 ... Prior to that 3 years 77-79 in Buffalo NY . When winter was winter ... men were men ... and wings were frozen !
Now that i'm not battling snow the only attachments I don't have are a blade and blower. Keep the home fires burning up yonder ... stay warm .

B.

Well put. I also enjoy winter. I'd get bored with warm and nice all year.

Our Winters aren't that bad. I would like to get some snow, so I can play with the cubs.

Can't wait
But winters aren't near as bad as when I was growing up. I remember in the 60's father had snow piled up with the Hough loader 6' from the electric wires along the HI way. And the county Hi way Department used nothing but road graders with a V plow and a wing for plowing.
Those were the days

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
