Lift Pin Length for Brinly Scraper?
I have a Brinly BB-360 scraper that I piked up in January with a 1450 package deal. I put it behind my 1000 for the first time. It doesn't get off the ground very far with the IH lift pin. Take a look:
 I have access to some 1" bar stock and a machine shop. If I made a lift pin for the scraper how long should I make it? Where should I put the hole for the scraper chain? Any help is appreciated. I m new to CC 3 point attachments. Bob

Before you make a new pin, I would move your lower chain attachment point. It should be connected to a tab in front of the pin holding the blade on, this will give you more lift. Here is a pic I borrowed from Jeffinpa to show the tab and hole in front of the pin tube.

X2 on what Bill said, you need to change your lift point to get higher lift.

Thanks for the tip.
I grew up on a 108 and the 1000 in the picture. The only attachments I ever knew were a 44" mower deck and a cart. Three point lifts and rear attachments are all new territory and I really appreciate the help. I'll look at the scraper to try and figure out how best to mount the chain. Does anyone know where the lever attaches to the Brinly scraper?
