Default Any 1340 owners on here?

I found one somewhat local for a good price and am debating picking it up. I'll be up front, my thought is pick it up cheap now, give it a good tune up (fuel line, clean it, tank bung replacement, oil change, trans fluid change, etc), then when spring comes around sell it. Or it'll grow on me and I'll keep it, who knows

Anyway, whether I keep it or not, what are your thoughts on it? I don't see a lot around so would this be a rarer MTD Cub? Anyone here have one? General thoughts on it? Thanks guys

Doesn't float my boat. They have the rubber engine mounts like the QL's and 1210's. I had a 1210, ended up repowering it with a Vanguard.

Hmm didn't know that Do you know if they are the SAME ISO's that were used on the QL; as in could I replace them with the solid mounts sold by Jeff?

Not sure, check part numbers on parts tree or cub.

Duh. Sometimes it's easier to ask with looking, guess I am guilty of being a bit lazy on that one

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
