so i did a quick search for 12v seat heater and found this

I wonder how many amps it draws?

All of mine are used up on the 1864 with the pto, lights and wiper going. For the price you can't beat it.

Hmm interesting thought in a Cub. I have a blade so no lost amps there, plowing during the day so no lost amps on lights. Hmm interested to see how many amps it draws.

This makes wonder; do they make heated 12v tape? I would love to have a heated steering wheel or even as heated bar or something. Idk about your guys but the only parts of me that get cold are my feet and hands. Foot warmers for the feet work well but I'd love to have something I could warm my fingers on. Point: wish I could have a heated steering wheel.

Doesn't someone make a cushion that you can "heat up" in the microwave, and the heat lasts for a good little while?

If you had two of them... When the one you're using starts to cool off, you could honk your horn and have your wife get the other one cooking in the microwave. Just a thought...

Hang an extra battery on the back just for heat and extra weight. When your done hook it up to a battery charger.

I imagine this is how you can make one. It is sort of a super duty diaper.
  1. Trap water crystals between two layers of fabric. Stitch in a grid pattern so they don't slide to one side.
  2. Wet the crystals and put it into a leakproof bag. A freezer zip lock may work.
  3. Heat.
  4. Slip that into a padded cover so you don't cook your butt.

As with most half baked ideas there are a few problems to work out.

i wasnt really going to worry about amp draw, i have a wing nut on my positive terminal and unhook my battery everytime im done using the tractor so i kinda thought about hooking it directly to the bat which is under the seat on my 128.
