Default 1864 carb

I pulled my carb apart to clean it. Its a keihin # 24 053 32 and it looks to have 1 adjusting needle with spring behind the solenoid. How many turns out should that screw be. Thanks

I also need the 2 tiny o' rings that go on that crossover tube and was wondering of the best place to get them and maybe the mating gaskets as well. Other than that I think that's all I need on my carb. What's the compression test readings suppose to be around on the command 18.

I'm sure I can get the parts but thought some of you guys maybe had some tricks to getting them quicker. I would really appreciate if you could send me the service manual. Thanks

Hi , I bought mine from Lakota Racing. Those little o rings are 3.50 each. I bought a few other things and they charged $17 shipping UPS. Everything would have fit in a small flat rate box. I don't know if they have mating gaskets, you might be better off with a whole kit. Hopefully you can do better. Mike

Could try ace Hwd. "O" rings there go from $ .03- .29 cents each.

I sent the manual to the e-mail listed in your profile.

Unfortunately, you are going to have to wait for the parts...... unless you run to your local CCC dealer, there is no "fast" way to order parts. I linked the CCC site more so you had a way to get part numbers, I wasn't necessarily suggesting you order from them. If I must buy from CCC, I buy from here: http://www.cubcadetpartsnmore.com/ They are out of Iowa and I get parts within 2-3 days.

I got the manual you sent me. Thank you for that it will come in handy. As for the parts I called my nearest ag dealer and got them on order. No more than 3 hours later the guy called me back and he said that he had the parts there the whole time. So tonight I'm going to work on that and hopefully get it running good again. One question I have is there a float adjustment on the command carb. I didn't see anything on that.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
