Kinda dead around here.
did everybody decide to start using your tractors instead of sitting around talking about them? seriously its good to finally have some nice weather and be outside getting seat time, i haven't had to mow yet but i cant wait.

When the weather turns nicer, it always seems to slow down here. At my place, it is now baseball season and we have 5 kids to run around. Personally, I hate organized sports. Mainly because there seems to be too much pressure for it, and because it doesn't seem too organized to me.
 Soon it will be dry and I'll be farming, gardening, mowing, and doing all kinds of things that I enjoy until I run out of day. I spend more time on here when it's cold and I'm inside. I'm sure there are lots of us that do the same. I too need to get a mower ready, but the ground is so wet that I don't want to track up the yard just because I'm ready to cut grass. It will still be green next week and growing and maybe the ground will dry. I am looking more forward to plowing honestly.

Was outside yesterday doing some spring clean up. Must have raked up 10,000 pine cones....

Ya wet here too, but seen worse, waiting for things to dry to plant crops.
Was hoping to repair a couple of plugged field tiles, but still too easy to get stuck. Every year is the same so to speak, Too wet /cold,--- then pow, it's dry and diesel smoke is in the air and everybody working the soil/planting, then some want a light germination rain, others are wet and want it to dry more. So it goes, @ this point in my life I would like to be fishing in the spring, but somehow the feel/sound of equipment under my feet and the smell of freshly turned dirt is more rewarding. Guess that's why God made us farmers.

Been busy out there enjoying the weather. Cookouts, 2284 grass killing prep, oil changes, and starting some basic landscaping around the house. I need to snap more pics but this is all I've got for now.
Hopefully this weekend (weekend after worst case) I'll be able to mow for the first time but I don't want to rush it.

Mowed 4.5 acres, and all the honey do items on a Redheads list keep me jumping....Was able to get another groundhog though, and smoke me a fine cigar!
