Default My new gear drive

Hello all,
I just got my first gear drive today, it's a 128 with hi/low range. It will need some work, because it was sitting for 5 years but it started right up.
The p/o put a nut and bolt in place of the fiber button and destroyed the PTO but that can be fixed. I need to pull some mice nest out of the engine tin. I will learn more as I get into more. It has new turf tires on the rear, so in all for $150, I felt that I stole it. I thought you all were just joking about the yellow fever but now this is my 3 tractor.

Here are some pictures -

That IS a nice looking 128, creeper gear and all, yeah, you stole it. Good job.

And YES, Yellow Fever is a real thing, you will find that it is much easier to live with if "The Wife" catches it too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
