take it to the machine shop and have it checked, they will be able to measure it and tell you how far it needs to be bored.

If it is STD bore, they will usually clean up @ .010,
if it is already .030 over then you can sleeve it or get another block which is usually less expensive.
There might be some after mkt. pistons bigger than .030 , I don't know.

Well Don or Jon will know better than I , but I'm thinking you can bore it to a k301. Standard k241 bore is 3.25 k301 is 3.38. If possible I'd go that route vs sleeving it.

The Bore will wear the most right @ the top just under the first ring position,
not @ the bottom of the stroke.

when its topped out its actually isnt real bad its about the last maybe inch or less at the bottom and i noticed that the wrist pin is shot also i believe thats what its called or its the crank since i havent got it all torn down completely i cant tell that for sure all i know i can push the piston down a little bit while holding the crank still

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
