Default Dedicated to plowing snow....

I would like to have a tractor that is always wearing snow removal equipment. I want one with a hydraulic controlled blade, lift and angle control.

I'm getting tired of my manual lift blade even though it has spring assist. After numerous lifts the old shoulder and back takes awhile to recover.

I've been using a Sears GTV/16 for 30 years. It's been fantastic but I want hyd capabilities. I really don't get enough snow for a blower and the blade system has worked well over the years.

What would be your suggestions? It doesn't have to be a Cub Cadet but I would prefer one. Thanks.

The 1872 and 2072 super garden tractors have front hydraulics and will take a 54" Haban blade. It has hydraulic lift and angle so it would fit your requirements, but they are not easy to find. I believe there are other super garden tractors that have the front hydraulics as well.

this is the kind of question where you ask 10 people and get 10 answers. the machines i use in winter have either electric lift or hydraulic lift.of course after you decide then will you want a snow cab???? if so they can be either hard to find and or pricey so perhaps you would be better looking for a complete package

Get a Super with a power angle blade if you want a serious snow pusher. Just my 2 cents. For me I just stick my home made blade on my BX and Git Er Done. Takes all of 5 minutes to put this on the BX.

Now shut-up with the snow talk, I just got out of the pool.

1450, 1650, 782, 1812 all good machines and can have dual hydraulics tractors are easy to find, some already have hydraulic outlets on them.

The blades are easy to find and its easy to put a hydraulic cylinder on to angle the blade.

You will have a good snow machine for half the price of a super. Also the windbreaker cabs are easier to find and cheaper to.

If you did it right and wanted to do a little work, you could have a decent rig for abot 1200.00

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
