That was a wild ride
Had to tow dads 1212 grasshopper back to the garage to work on it, bad fuel pump. Anyway I removed the drive chains to tow it because it doesn't have a hydro release. Well it didn't go so smoothly! The tow strap came undone on a hill with me on it and off like rocket I went backwards towards the trees! I bailed off it stopped against a cedar tree. Luckily neither me or the mower were hurt other than a few bruises. If it has to be towed again I will tie the straps so it cannot come loose! Did scare me though. Could have been very bad.

Wow, glad that you are alright. I try to think, "What's the worst thing that could happen?" and that usually allows me to thing about 1 step ahead for safety.....usually.

my landlord lives up the road from me and there's a pretty good hill leading up to his house, one day i rode my old 126 up there to give him the rent and on the way down 3rd gear wasn't fast enough so i popped it out of gear. the 126 didn't have good brakes and the steering had a mile of slop in it, needless to say it took off like a rocket and even though i was holding the wheel straight the slop allowed the tractor to drift back and forth about 4 feet which really made it feel like it was about to go out of control and start flipping. i didn't get stopped until well past my driveway and ive never been so happy to get off a cub in my life.
