Need help with CCO carb!
I am working on a K161 Kohler engine and having trouble finding info on the carburetor. It is a Carter model N with 3334S on the flange. My problem is that, I think someone has had the bowl off and left out a part (a spring maybe?). The bowl has a "push up" drain plug. I have the plug, but nothing to hold it in place. I can't seem to find a diagram with a carb bowl drain like this...any help will be greatly appreciated!

Looks like you have the early style carb that was on a Original when new,you will need this kit to fix it.

The spring you are referencing is NLA from Kohler.

Darkminion, is there a part number for the Tec part? That looks different but might work! Looks like the spring was on the inside of the original one that I have.
Does anyone know what the original one looked like? Suggestions to fix? Maybe find a bowl without the drain?

Lew is exactly right, that kit will fix what you have, or you can find a bowl without a drain.
You could probably also solder the hole shut.
