Advice needed
I am rehabbing a cat 0 brinly plow. The surface of the plow bottom is rusted and pitted what is the best way to prepare the surface for use. I concidered a grinder, sanding disc but I do not want to make it worse. I am sure if i used it it would polish up but I do not have any where to plow.

I sandblasted my plow and painted the white parts with good paint, the rest of it I used aerosol epoxy and aerosol black krylon. When I took it to the first plow day the paint wore off and it shined like chrome in about 15 minutes, after I was done plowing I put a bag over the white and sprayed some black on the plow to keep it from rusting.

Tim I know if I use it it will polish up. I am not going to use it. I want to sell it. I guess I could paint it but I was hoping to get it all shined up.

When I did mine I cleaned it real good with a wire wheel, polished it up with a little sandpaper, and just put some olive oil on it. It sat for a few years in the barn without rusting, until the stupid cat peed on it

Got any dirt roads nearby? My brother shined up his little genius #8 plow pretty good by setting it almost down to the stones and rode up and down it a few times. Apart from that just plowing....

I sold several plows last year. I used a sanding flap disc to remove the rust. Them I gave a coat of Pam cooking spray and wipe the extra off.
