Default New guy from central Ohio

Hi all my name is Jeff! I live in central Ohio. Not new to garden tractors by any means. Always had one tinkering with it when I was a kid. I am a Case guy first but I do like the cubs as well. My boy has shown interest in pulling so we found a model 72 with a K241 and got it for 50$! Which I thought was a great buy. Just gonna go stock class now and see how it goes and if his interest stays with it. My three favorite garden tractors are the Case, Colt, Ingesoll first and the Cubs and Sears tractors tied for second. Seems like a great forum happy to of found it. Hope to meet some of you some time.

My dad has a Case/Ingersoll 446. gotta go pick up the sears that I am getting from my uncle it is a suburban 12 horse. My son also has a little simplicity that he rides around on as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
