Default 1864 PTO issues
I have a 1864 that when I engage the PTO the blades turn on and run just fine until I take the PTO switch from the start to the run position. Then the blades shut off, they will only run if you hold the switch in the 'start' position. Why is this happening?

For some reason, the Holding Relay is bad or not engaging.

It has a Bosch relay that I found that it goes through by looking at the electrical diagram. I did a continuity test on it and a new one at the auto parts store. They tested the same. Still think that is what it is?

In order for the Holding Relay to stay energized, the Seat Switch has to be engaged (sit in seat), the Hydro Lever has to be in a "non-reverse" position, and the PTO switch has to function correctly. This is in consideration the wiring is correct, and in good condition. Since you have indicated devices are jumpered out, looks like you have a interesting situation and hard to tell what is going on.

I have the seat safety switched jumped over. I replaced the PTO safety switch, but before I replaced that switch the blades would run for a short time, now they only will run if I am holding the switch in the start position.
