Mule drive question

Just curious if the mule drive from an 82 series will fit on a Quiteline? Thanks for the help.

It will fit, but... the pulleys are different and the lift arms, you know the things that engage the deck? the're in different positions so you're gonna have to move the mower support links on the front of your deck (assuming you're using a deck from a Quietline).

I'll be putting a 44C under it. That deck will fit a QL correct?

QL uses a 1/2" belt on the PTO, 44c needs a 5/8" belt. Thats why the pulleys on the 82 series MD are different.

The 44C will go on a QL, you just have to change the pulley. The one that was offered for the 44A on a QL will fit. Look for a used, or they are still available new for about $45. The pulleys on the mule will likely be fine running a narrower belt. Probably won't have to change them. They are just "guides". As long as the belt goes down in them tight and doesn't try to roll over, they will be fine.

I don't know what you are talking about having to change the lift arms that engage the deck. Should be the same. Only time you have to change those if if your going from a SGT to a GT. Unless your talking about something else.... ???

Pretty sure this is an undercarriage/mule drive from an 82 series. It is sitting on a 44a deck. Notice how the mower support link on the right does not line up with one of the lift arms? Won't be an issue as you are using a 44c deck.
