Default New wheels and tires on 56
Well after some long deliberation on what tire and wheel combination to go with on the 56, "we" decided on Cragar SS wheels, and BFG tires.
The front are 15x7, and 8" on the rear. Tires are 215/65/15 on the front, and 235/70's on the rear. The back tires are as big as we could go without some serious modifications.
I like the "classic" look.

Cragar SS rims are a timeless classic. I had them on my 67 Chevelle SS some 40 plus years ago and I still love them! You've got a beautiful car there Todd!

Those wheels remind me of my childhood. Our family car was a late '70s Plymouth Valare with air shocks and Crager SS wheels. One of the bag boys at the local grocery store was always trying to talk mom into selling him those wheels.

Great choice for your '56. As far as I'm concerned there are only two aftermarket wheels that should be used on a 50-60 era car. Cragar SS or American 5 spoke(dark center). Both are timeless classics and look good on most any car.
Your '56 is one fine ride and looks great with the Cragar SS mags!

I bought a 1864, it's just grown from there. The Cubs have replaced old Chevys as my hobby/passion. The only car I have left is a '67 Chevelle wagon.
Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with!
