Default Supporting member

After being over on another off topic forum, they offer a option to donate $25.00 a year to become a supporting member. Money goes toward upkeep, and whatever it takes to run a forum/website.
It's completely voluntary, no one is forced to pay anything. If you choose to become a supporting member, you get a that indicates you are in support. The "plaque would be near your user name?
I know I donated $25 once to OCC, BECAUSE I THOUGHT it was money well spent to help keep up the place I frequent every day.
I think it's a good bang for the buck, and after all, it's only $25. For me, that's equivalent to the cost of 3 cans of chew.
Just a thought, depends what Roland thinks, but hey, who don't get $25 worth of information, fun and comradery from OCC?
Support those who support us.
FWI, if anyone hates the idea, don't go scratching and clawing, whining and complaining at anyone but me, this was my idea, no one else's, so if you want to bitch about, aim them my way.

Todd,

I think it's a fine idea.. I would be in... I've often wondered how the forum ran with no money... I certainly get way more than $25 a year worth of fun and info out of this place!

I'm in. It would also help insure that we never have to deal with ads, seems like every other forum I go on has turned into an ad machine. Another incentive on top of the supporter badge could be a supporter only section with a more relaxed set of rules, this is pretty common on other forum's. One of the other forum's I go on is $20 a year, $35 for two years, $50 for 3 years and $80 for 5 years. Just some food for thought.

Great idea Todd. I would also be a supporting member. I would also like to see some hats, shirts and decals available for purchase too.

Shirts and hats would be great, there are websites dedicated to making shirts and hats for forum's which would eliminate Roland having to hold boxes of shirts and hats at his house and paying for them all up front. They make and ship everything and then the foruum gets a cut of the profits.

I have no idea what it costs to keep this thing running. I would also like to be ad free.

That philosophy/attitude is why this site is number one.

I'd be all over this idea! When there are shows or cub events, it would be nice to be able to identify with other OCC members if they had the OCC logo stuff on!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
