Hello all, nice to have a site to turn to. I currently do not own a cub cadet but i have been looking for one recently. I live in New York so it would be nice to have a snow blower, mower, and rototiller option. I just have some questions about what attachments will fit on what tractor. I know the difference between the narrow and wide frames but still looking for information. Like currently I have seen a model 2 tiller attachment for sale but will that fit a narrow or wide frame tractor or does it not matter for the rear? This will decide which tractor to pursues, feedback is appreciated.

Hi! Welcome to OCC!

Most likely your going to need a hydro drive garden tractor with hydraulic lift for tiller work. An all-gear drive with a drive reduction gear box and optional spring assist, or hydraulic lift is the old option. Both will work, just a matter of which tractor is in the best mechanical condition, when your time comes to purchase.

Alright so I'll jump on the tiller and scout for a hydro lift tractor for it! I appreciate the response, I just wasn't sure if narrow or wide frame mattered for the tiller attachment.

Welcome to the forum ! I'm sure you'll find the answers you need on the site, I personally prefer the wide frame hydro's ! but any of the old cubs are up to the task !

I did find a nicer running 1200 for $200, sound like a good deal? Would it still run my tiller and what not without any issues?
