I’d like to replace the rear reflectors on my 1450 with tail lights. What are the options out there? Will the ‘82 series lights work with some modification or is there another aftermarket light that will fit? I’d like it to look somewhat factory and wideframe tail lights don’t seem to be available anywhere.

That Petersen number is just a lens... does not include the base... BUT i have used these lenses on the original Cub Cadet base... it fits and works great! I believe Charlie at CC specialties may have some NOS bases.. you would have to call him and see.. I don't think they are on his website

You will have to make a recess with a hole saw in the fender pan to make these lights fit. And, they are a bit pricey, but,..hey the're Grote.
There's a picture of how I made them fit in one of my threads; https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...364#post325364

The Grote 47732 lights are real nice, I have a set on my 86. I made spacers out of a piece of wood so I wouldn't have to cut the fenders.
I've used Truck-Lite model 18s as well but the screws don't line up with OEM. They do fit in the pocket of the fender though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
