Default Observation

Yesterday, I spent a good portion of the afternoon in a waiting room at an area hospital. It was a long wait and I started looking around. The Hospital provided a TV (I assume some cable provider) BUT, what I noticed, spanning all ages, people had their noses buried in their Cell Phones for whatever. No body was talking, just entrenched in their phones. Kinda sad.

I was a good boy, kept to myself. Just an interesting observation. I wondered how many would have had a Hissy Fit, Stroke, or Cardiac Arrest, if their cell phone service stopped.

There's not much else to do in a waiting room. Before smart phones you read magazines. Same thing. Different format.

Most people are probably stressed out and don't feel like talking. There's usually no fun reason to be there.

LOL.. Depends on the type of doctor! Could be a plastic surgeon. Installing some new fun bags is fun!

We now have a camera that is either fixed or mobile that looks into the front of the car and detects those behind the wheel who are using the phone
This technology is now being rolled out in Sydney Australia , the faster the better
In testing 1 in every 6 vehicles passing the camera the driver was either talking or texting on the phone
Oz
The fine is $340 and 5 points

I'm just an old fart with a dumb phone for emergency's or If I want to make a call I turn it on and call.
I plug it in and charge it every couple of months, it costs 15 cents a minute to talk, no roaming charges.
I think I spent $20 dollars last year on calls.
beats the chit out of CB radio.
I still have a home phone for other uses and internet service.
works for me.
I read the magazines in waiting rooms or bring my own daily newspaper.

Makes ya wonder how people functioned without a phone attached to their head, when I was growing up the phone stayed on the wall or on the stand in the house, and I lived ! amazing

Hell, how else are you supposed to check Craig's List, Let Go and all the other apps for Cub related stuff? They don't show that up on the TV and who knows what sickness or STD you will pick up from the magazine's.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
