Default GTX2154LE deck won't disengage
I have a 2011 GTX2154LE model, with 429 hrs, bought new in 2012

I first noticed this spring at initial start up.

Starts with deck engaged and will not disengage with switch or shut off when placed in reverse with the reverse lockout button in either position.

With engine off and start switch in run position I can hear the clutch engage and disengage when operating the switch.

Once started the switch seems inoperative altogether.

Any ideas here??

Disconnect the "connector" for the PTO. Does the PTO still engage..??

Don't know the specifics of the machine you are working on however.
All these newer machines are crazy with safeties, interlock switches, seat
switches and on and on. Seems like things mechanical are working for you.
Its just getting all the electrical to realize that.
Might be a dog gone seat switch? Maybe not but just throwing it out there.

If you can hear it engage with the key it sounds like a short. Did any mice make the 50th anniversary machine a home for winter? Looks like the wires going to it are Blue/white (12v+) & white (12v-).
