Default How many Cub Cadets is too many?

What happened was… LOL I have a worn out 128 that I inherited and after I got the carb, coil, points and condenser replaced. In addition, I fixed the frozen pto, deck lift, and added a creeper gear and spring lift assist(tractor was intended to be used for tiller). I discovered that the K301 engine was pretty well worn out as well oil burning). I came across a fellow NW of Houston (I am NW of Austin) with a “collection” consisting of a 104 and two 149s. (One 149 had its’ 14 hp engine replaced with a 12hp at some point). After speaking with the seller, he was more concerned with the tractors not going to scrap than selling them for top dollar. I had originally offered $200 for the k301 engine and ended up with three tractors, in pieces for the same $. I have already yet fired the engine and have it cleaned up, ready for paint. The 149s are rough, but I plan to eventually make one out of the two. The majority of 104 parts have been blasted and primed, so I plan to eventually paint an reassemble it first. This brings the total to five cub cadets (rough 73, disassembled 104, rough 128, and two 149 basket cases) along with six Farmall Cubs, one Farmall Cub Lo Boy. One cub 154 being parted out, one Farmall Super A and a Farmall Super C.

No corrosion present in the engine bay, due to generous layer of protective grease! ?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
