I haven't had my CC30H long, only have about 6 hours on it.
What's bugging me is the strip of uncut grass it leaves, even with me maintaining a significant overlap. Today before I got underway I confirmed the tires were 10 psi on the rear, and 14 psi on the front. I also went slower and it seemed a little better. Is this just something that's to be expected with this mower, or is there something I can do to improve things. Is there a better third part blade? |

Where did you purchase it at? Did you check the blade? Got any pics of the underside of the deck you can post?

Is the blade mounted correctly and is "sharp"?

I would hope both of those are true, since the blades come on them from the factory. So unless the OP had a different blade put on, interesting.
How tall/thick of grass are you mowing, is it at WOT, and are you mulching or using the side discharge?

Agree with the others, blade is my 1st thought. Also.... Is the belts (if any) and PTO functioning properly.

One or more blades on UPSIDE DOWN!!
For Pete's sake, pull the deck and flip it and take a look. Issue should be readily apparent I would think! |

Cutting higher/more frequently might help. Plus it's a lot better for the grass to not knock off more than 1/3 of it at a time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
