Default North Carolina checking in !!

Hello everyone!!! El Dee here glad to be a part of this forum!! Myself I'm 50 and have been a Collision Repair Technician since departing High School in 1978..I can sling some paint too!!! Try and keep that a secret though!! My hobbies include anything Loud and Fast!! Being I'm a mostly broke country farm boy and given my hobbies I can turn a pretty mean wrench. Like I said I'm happy to be here...I've lurked once or twice but I'm here now!!

Back in 96 my old Murray and Craftsman mowers were in constant need of repair. Just too dang much grass here on the Ponderosa...My buddy had a 782 and I liked it pretty good...He still has it BTW but it is in need of repairs...His new mower is green...TRAITOR!! I found a '88 1810 Hydro down at the IH dealer when picking up parts for my '61 140...It was like new and still is for the most part...Last year I added AG tires on the rear and ribs on the front....I also rebuilt the starter...Not bad for 14 years of service..I also picked a '09 Snapper Pro Zero Turn w/a 23HP Kawasaki...I questioned the dealers sanity when he tried to get me to trade the Cub...I can cut faster with the Snapper......but I love my Cub...CCC or not..She has a home for life.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
