Power angle questions
I just bought a power angle kit for the blade on my 1450 from eBay. Upon receiving the package the box had an oil soaked corner. After further inspection the hydraulic cylinder appears to have a leaking seal. Is this repairable? If so is it costly? The item description listed this as "fully operational and functions as intended" but that doesn't seem to be the case. If it can be fixed for a minimal cost i'm not going to make a big deal out of it, but I paid good money for this item with the expectations it would be a bolt on and go procedure.
Also, what kind of couplers were used on cub cadets? The ones I put on my 1450 I found on a shelf at a local lawnmower grave yard and very well may be from a jd garden tractor. Either way they don't fit the ends that are on the cylinder i just purchased. TIA.

How about a Picture of this kit you bought. There are two versions of the Hydraulic Angle Kit according to the CPE-2 Parts Manual.

A leaking seal should not cost a lot if you have a good shop in you area,from the pic it appears that it must not be to bad,if you can get it hooked up and try it i would see how bad it is first,but for a seal i would think it would not be more than $20 to maybe $40.

$40 for a seal??? Where are you shopping? It's probably a couple of 10-cent O-rings and a maybe $1 lip seal. Hopefully the cylinder can be disassembled to replace those parts. If the ends are welded, it'll be more complicated.

Have you tried hooking it up to see where the leak is coming from? It is possible the seal area got fluid on it during transportation from fluid left over in the lines/cylinder. I would test it first.
