I was finally able to get up with Adrian (aagitch), and purchase his amazingly clean well kept 782. It was great to meet Adrian and Tonia and put a face to a name
. All I can say is WOW! I love the tractor and am very very happy with the deal. I not only got the GT, but an excellent 44C mower deck and a 42 inch Snow/Dirt blade. He put the V61 tires on the front and after seeing those things in person I am here to tell you those are the tires to get if you can. The tractor starts up so smooth and handles like a dream. I was also able to see the big 982D of his and well, dang it, I got to have one eventually. Those things look like they are on steroids, LOL. Kinda makes you sit there and drool a bit looking at them. I had originally thought I would just set the 782 outside on pretty days and let the neighbors drool and use my 129 and 169 for yard use, but have come to the conclusion it might not get much down time. ![]() ![]() ![]() Snow blade and 44C deck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That is actually a 784. It has the dual hydraulics and is kinda rare in the 782 world.
I have one just like it and Wild Bill has the newer version 1712

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
