Default Original Fenders!

Well, I got a message from another forum Member IACubCadet who told me he was cruising CL and found an Ad for Original Fenders this morning. Okay, no problem right...? Well I am in CT and the fenders are in IA. So I messaged the guy, and he was not willing to ship them due to the whole not knowing me thing. So I talked to Ryan and he said he would go pick them up for me. So he picked them up tonight. Here are a couple pictures, they are a little rough have a dent in one of them and a slight bend but no rot and no breaks and I should be able to get the dent out, but I couldn't pass up the price. Its nice to have friends from all over.

Thanks guys, Yeah they were $70 bucks. Even with shipping they will be a lot cheaper than if I bought a pair up here in the Northeast even with some work needed.

Now I just need lights for the O, anyone know what Farmall IH's used the same lights as the Originals?

Cory,

I'm glad I could help you out with getting the fenders. Sounds like they will be there Friday Ilike I told you. Better get your ball peen hammer out

On my 61 O I used lights from a IH 403 combine (of all things). They are very similar in shape to the CC lights. (or at least I think they are).

Hope you like the fenders!

I will be looking forward to the mail this week. Thanks again! And I found an Ad on eBay for some lights... claiming that they are from a 105 factory installed and ive never heard of such a thing...

Lights

But other than the brackets (which are like $25 on ebay) they look similar to the ones from the O, don't they?

Yes those are similar and would look correct MO. If you could get a set of brackets they would look SHARP on your O. I actually used brackets like those on mine. Just measured out where I wanted the hole and put a taper on the end of the pipe so they were square with the world and bolted them up. I'll have to send you a pic of them.

Funny thing is I talked to that Bob on your link there. Heck of a friendly guy but dosent know much about Cub Cadets. I tried buying the 105 those lights were on back a few years ago

Yeah, send a pic I would be interested in seeing them. I wonder what the reserve is on them... probably some crazy price....

Well I am starting to think that you have talked to everyone and know everyone. Haha, its a small world for you.

I think they would look close enough for me, but I figured he didnt know much about CC's when I saw he said they were a factory installed light set. Lol

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
