Just finished stripping and sand blasting the front wheels, axle, and spindles. Plan is to get it on tires so I can roll it around the garage.

Got the front end parts primed.
I made a rough draft of an IH wheel center. Not sure how I'll make the final ones. Thinking 1/4" lexan with a piece of sheet metal behind it painted black. Need to find out what Kurt Smith uses on his scale tractors. The steering wheel I got from Mrcubcadet off of a 1650.

I bought a set from maple hunter to use on the tractor, used the complete set less the hood decals. I went to a local sign shop and had them make the hood decals, I used the maple hunter hood decals to go by for length with and basic design. The decal were printed on white vinyl and will later post a close up of the cub cadet lettering, they could not make them quite the same because of copyright infringements.

Sprayed some red today. I like the Majic brand paint so far. It has good shine to it and it seems to dry faster than the Valspar I used on my trailer. I used some leftover Valspar enamel hardener with the Majic paint and it seemed to be compatible. On to the pics.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
