Default Guide me in the right direction please...

Ok so I need some guidance on getting these wires in there right places I believe that most of them are in the right order but Im posting pics of the ones that I have second guesses about, because the wiring diagram wasnt very specific for me.

First, Which post does this orange black stripped wire go on and is the other one a ground?

Is this connector both wires are solid orange for the pto safety?

Is this connector for the clutch safety switch one solid orange other wire is orange black stripe?

Are these hooked up right?

Is this the correct way to ground the starter?

Are these in the right order? top grey, middle blue, bottom yellow

What goes here?

And lastly can I use a toggle switch for the pto safety?

Thanks, and Itll help me out a ton if you guys can point me in the right direction.

The tractor Wiring Diagrams have been in the Technical Library Section since day one.

In addition, do we "assume" you are working on a model 128...???

Yes I am working on A cub 128 and I've been following the diagram that's posted in the technical section and the one in the manual with no success. I have the right wires going to the right places based on the diagram I just want to double check on here.

Right now, I've put on what I believe to be, the clutch safety switch from another 128 I had. I'm having difficulty figuring out how it becomes engaged when you push the clutch in. I also have rigged up a PTO safety switch in the empty hole using a toggle switch I had laying around.

So hows the button on the clutch safety switch get pushed in by the clutch?

From the Parts Manual. Item #19 depresses the plunger on Neutral Safety Switch when the Clutch Pedal is depressed.

The ground wire is too small and doesn't go there. Here is how my 149 ground wire is routed:

It is connected to the front of the start/generator and the other end is connected one of the bolts that holds the grill on the tractor.

The wiring diagram I have saved on my computer is from the maker of the aftermarket wiring harness, showing the color coding for there harness. Off top of my head, I can't remember the maker of harness but looking at your harness, it is the same one I put in my 149, and I believe the colors vary a bit from the factory colors of an original harness.

The hole next to the ignition switch is for the light switch. If you don't have headlights, you can install something else there--or install a OEM light switch to fill the hole.

Ok, thanks.

I believe to have found my problem, I think my solenoid is bad. I can jump the solenoid and the starter turns over, but when I turn the key to start it nothing happens.

And since I dont have the push thing for the clutch I just bypassed all of the safety switches.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
