Looks like maybe a Duesenburg? Or maybe a reproduction. Or maybe a Cord.Those are the only two that I know of that had the exhaust coming out the side of the hood.

Great looking piece of eye candy!!! Those 50's diners are really a lot of fun to go to....here is a thread to one close by me where the girls wear the poodle skirts and skate out to your car, which is nice but the over 50 flavors of ice cream catch my eye....along with the special menu!! It's great to relive a time gone by (unfortunately, it was a time before I was even born but I still enjoy the nostalgia). I also visit the James Dean Days and the Ducktail Run in the fall...Thanks for sharing the picture and bringing a smile to my face!!
