Need help building stock altered engine
I bought a 124 puller with a 16hp kohler and a wrecked clutch. I have since removed engine and clutch and have a list growing of parts needed to build it up. the hardest part is building up the 16 horse. I know I want to put aftermarket head, piston, rod, crank, cam, and carb on. but im not sure how to figure out the numbers. If someone could help that would be awesome.

That is an interesting set of rules for a stock altered class. Here we would call that sport stock.

What do you mean? Rules say stock stroke crank is all that is allowed. Looks like you don't have much choice......

After market rods are available in varying lengths to create piston pop out. JE and Diamond make after market pistons with varying pin heights too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
