Thank You Mr. Bedell !

However ....... how is it that the main wiring harness in my SGT that appears to be original has a number of GREEN wires that I cannot find on ANY schematic?

I have a green wire with an eyelet on it ( I assume a ground) just hanging around down near the starter neighborhood that exits the main harness just below the tank outlet "area".

Thanks !

I have not , however there was one owner prior to me. A municipality , it was always serviced at the local dealer. If this harness is not original , someone did a bang up job replicating a factory harness.

Then someone modified the original harness. Follow the diagram I sent you and bring it back to where it should be.

Default Almost at end of rope .........

OK still trying to find out why I have no power except at the battery !

Gotta start some where , so first things first. Please see attached pic of wiring schematic, note that I have circled the only 2 fuses shown.

Where physically are these fuses located?

I have one fuse holder in the dash to the left of the key switch (just replaced with new as original had shorted out, the apparent start of my electrical problems). I can't find the other that is shown.
I am guessing that fuse "A" is the fuse in the dash , ? correct?

I realize that the fuse for the lighting circuit doesn't affect the start circuit , but I'd like to know where it is.

Thanks in advance !

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
