HELLO from Indiana. Just got on board a couple of days ago. I was raised on IH tractors and have owned several IH trucks,IH tractor and Cub Cadets. Back in the mid and late 88's I would buy used cub cadets at auctions or our local JD dealer ( they didn't seem to want them around so I would help them out.) I would repair want needed fixed ,paint them and sell'm. I really had a good time doing that. A site like this would have been real nice. I ended up with a nice 149 when it was all said and done. I,ve still got and use that girl. Back in those days I had a very interested and great helper, my son brucer95. I,ve been lurking here for awhile , brucer95 put me on to this site. Sure got alot of good information here and lots of good reading. I really enjoy the pictures. Looking forward to lots more good times here.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
